This is the same as WD40
No, actually WD40 and other products that have been manufactured
in the past are water displacers, and will not work on micro circuits.
(very small components) and would probably damage them. Aquastop is
not a water displacer it is a barrier against the water. So the circuit
has to be dry before application. |

What will it work on?
Aquastop will put a protective coating on any circuit board to help
against the damage from damp or water ingress. Having said that this
is not an opportunity to do party tricks with electrical equipment,
it is a protective coating that will help to make circuit boards last
longer. It can be applied on key fob remote controls, tv and video
remotes, tv's, videos all circuit boards, laptops, personal organisers,
mobile phones, computer equipment, lights, sockets plugs, contacts,
in fact any where where voltage and damp are a problem. ALL EQUIPMENT
TO BE TREATED MUST HAVE THE POWER REMOVED BEFORE APPLICATION. |

What voltage will it work on?
Aquastop has been tested from 0 volts to 240 volts with ac and dc
electricity with no adverse effects. |

How long does it last?
The protective coating should last the life time of the circuit board
unless it has been repaired i.e. soldered, or where it has become
totally submerged in water. Where a further application should be
applied. |

Why is it different to other coatings?
Most other coatings that are used on circuit boards are permanent
and cannot be repaired if there is a problem e.g. lacquer. What you
also find with lacquer coatings is that the lacquer can crack with
vibration and allow water ingress under the lacquer which is worse
than having no coating at all, as the damp cannot evaporate. All these
problems disappear by using Aquastop. |

What do I do if the component becomes wet?
Turn of the power supply to the component or remove the battery and
allow to air dry, do not use force drying as in hair dryer as this
can damage the circuit board. When it has dried naturally you will
find that the item will operate correctly. |

Can I spray this on the outside of the equipment?
No Aquastop has been designed for application to the circuit boards
or electrical contacts. |

Will my equipment work under water?
Not unless it was designed to do so before application. |

What will Aquastop protect from?
Aquastop will resist water, salt water, acid, alkali's, soap, detergent,
tea, coffee, juice, ect. |

How much do I apply to the circuit?
Only apply a very light coating, with this product the object is to
just coat the circuit board and components on it. Do not use to much. |
